The Reason for a Grand Ball
It’s a Matter of the Heart
In September of 2019, Kelley Thomas had a heart attack which struck seemingly out of nowhere
Kelley just happened to read a Facebook posting by her friend Joan Schoen about heart attack signs in women, and just two weeks later, she found herself realizing those warning signs were coming from inside her chest— a heart attack was happening!
Fortunately Kelley did not dismiss her symptoms and headed to the hospital where she received life-saving treatment. And today she is proud to host a grand 18th century ball designed to give back by partnering with The American Heart Association.
Not only does a portion of the ball proceeds benefit the American Heart Association, but the organization utilizes the event to do special heart screenings and educational presentations about heart attacks in both men and women.
Kelley lives in Winter Park, Florida, where she shares her love of theater with children of all ages, and she also shares her heart attack story and expertise with 18th century art and fashion as a speaker.
